Project Details

The Project

This project is directed at creating a brand identity for a fictional company/service. Elite Harbor is fictional company that leases boats in Toms River, New Jersey.

Logo & Fictional History

In 2015, our founders were relaxing at their house on Barnegat Bay, looking out at the variety of boats floating all around. Jokingly, one of our founders exclaimed, “This is a crazy idea, but what if we started a boat leasing business?” After exchanging some laughs they came to realize there may be a real market in the boat leasing industry. The first order of business was to see if there was a competitive market, and after a short time of researching they found there was only one other company in America leasing boats. Many other companies provide a service of lease-sharing, but just the one that did full time leasing. It was here that our founders decided to jump start the boat leasing market in New Jersey.

Advertising Statements

The Name

Elite Harbor was chosen as the name because it fits the luxurious persona of the company. The idea is for the customers to feel like they are part of the “elite” people in the world. While the name represents the company, the goal is for it to bring customers in. It’s common for a person to want to feel empowered; to feel elite would give them that opportunity. The name is memorable and will transcend throughout the future as there is always a desire for one to be “elite”.

Positioning Statement

It’s time for you to enjoy the life you’re living. The ability to lease an affordable luxury vessel is at your disposal right in you’re own backyard. We ensure our boats are the best quality you can find. We want you to be happy, to live your dream, to live in luxury.

Invitation

This invitation would be for Elite Harbor’s boat showcase after the leasing center first opens up. It would be an opportunity for people to come in and learn about the type of boat they responded with from the mail-back post card.


Website Design

The website will allow customers to see what boats are currently in the harbor and allow them to contact the Elite Harbor team about future opportunities to lease boats.

Was the Goal Accomplished?

The projects do accomplish what the Elite Harbor brand is trying to achieve. It establishes its competative difference throughout the different pieces by connecting with the customer. The style associated with the design is sharp, modern, clean, and when attatched with the color scheme, it captures the essence of the Barnegat Bay community. The needs of primary audience are not only met, they have been exceeded. The puropse of this company is for the people to lease luxury boats at an affordable price and the pieces completed throughout this project run parallel to making the customer happy, and enjoy their time as they are sailing the seas and living the elite life.
